THE PRACTICE OF AWAKENING THE NADIS;---
04 FACTS;-- 1-Pass out the Apana air completely and stand straight facing east.
2-Breathe through both nostrils and fill in the abdomen, keep the hands close to the body, bloat the abdomen repeatedly by breathing in and out on the navel.
3-Hold the breath, when there is full pressure on the navel then slight tension or pain will be felt on the above two points during holding the breath. It indicates the success of the practice.
4-Keep on doing this practice for a few days in the standing posture and later on it can be done in the sitting posture.
HOW CAN WE KNOW ABOUT THE ACTIVATION ?---
04 FACTS;-- 1-The activated moon and sun nadies carry the particles of the tatwas along with the flow of prana. The air tatwa is related to moon nadi and Water tatwa is related to sun Nadi.
2-When the sun nadi is active one visualizes the flow of water, clouds in the sky scattered clouds and heat.
3-when the moon nadi is active one experience the flow of air, a sound of Sham, Sham, Sham and coolness.
4-In the inner light ida is blue and Pingla is red in colour. MERGING OF IDA & PINGLA INTO SUSHUMNA;--
03 FACTS;--
First activate Ida and Pingla and then merge them into sushumna by the following practices.
1-The vishuddhi chakra contains sixteen seed alphabets from A to Ah. By their ascending and descending order japa the prana of Ida and Pingla nadies merge into the prana of sushumna.
2-The japa should be first from left and right i. e. ascending order and then again from left to right. This constitutes one japa and it should be done at least seven times. The posture should be easy and one should face either North or East. This japa is done only in external Khumbaka (Holding the breath) which means that the air should be exhaled fully with force and then the japa should be done. It quickly gives success.
3-During the japa a flower of three petals becomes visible in the center of the eye brows. The seed alphabets must be pronounced correcty. This practice takes the sadhaka from external worship towards internal worship and is one of the basic practices of yoga.
WHAT IS THE MEETING POINTS OF NADIS ?---
03 FACTS;-- In Agnya chakra both the nadies meet the sushumna nadi, this point is called Triveni of tri-point. It is first seen as green or yellow and gradually change into white. The following practice should be carried out to clarify this point :------- 1-Sit straight facing East. Activate the sun and moon nadies. Collect prana at the navel, press the abdomen and direct the prana to the center of the brows.
2-Drink nectar and apply gentle pressure on the eye lids. Do not flex the neck. The visualization is directly proportional to the force of the prana.
3-The green and blue colours disapper and the above shape in white colour becomes clear. This is the point for the entry into Antaha-karana hence it is also termed Mooladhara or the main gate. DESCRIPTION OF SUSHUMNA NADI :--
08 FACTS;--
1-It arouses from Mooladhara and upwards and changes its shape in the thousand petalled lotus. It contains vajra, chitrini and Brahma Nadies.
2-The Brahma Nadi arises and is activated from the great toe of the foot, On reaching the Mooladhara. Vajra chitrini and sushumna cover it respectively, therefore this nadi carries pure flow of prana only. 3-The activation of Brahma nadi and the flow of prana into it is the main aim of Yoga. Brahma nadi helps in the realization of Brahma.
4-Sushumna along with its collateral(secondary) nadias is responsible for transmitting the prana through out the body. This prana is directed to vajra which in turn gives it to Chitrini and finally the pure prana enters into the Brahma nadi which finally reaches Brahmanda, and this results in the unison of the external body with the Antahakarana and results in the elimination of individuality.
5-According to laws of nature, the impure prana cannot enter sushumna for the opening of sushumna depends upon the divine will. This point is in Agnya Chakra hence it is called the seat of the soul.
6-After mastering the practice of Pranayam the flow of prana can be directed through sushumna into Mooladhara. Swadhishthana, Manipoora, Anahat. Vishuddhi and Agnaya Chakra. It needs hard practices.
7-Sushumna, Vajra, Chitrini and Brahma Nadi meet at the back of the neck. During pranayam it is therefore ordained to flex (bend) the neck and place the chin on the chest so that pressure may be directed on these spots and they may be activated.
8-In the neck the sushumna is bent, Ida and pingla are towards the shoulders in the chest region and vajra, Chitrini and Brahma Nadi join each other at a distance of one finger each from below upwards. PRACTICE OF AWAKENING THE PLACES :----
06 FACTS;-- 1- Stand facing East and by applying pressure on the navel bloat (make swollen) the abdomen and flex the neck so that the chin touches the chest. At this time the points which reveal tension must be kept in mind.
2-These three points are the meeting points of Vajra, Chitrini and Brahma Nadi. First is the meeting point of Sushumna and Vajra and second is the meeting point of Vajra and chitrini and third is the meeting point of chitrini and Brahma Nadi. In the end only Brahm Nadi remains but usually it is termed sushumna. 3- Forcefully breathing in are out directing the pressure over the navel center sushumna is activated. iii) Press the abdominal wall till it touches the spine. This should be done during poorak, kumbhak, and Rechaka. Pooraka is done by Ida, Kumbhaka in sushumna and rechaka by pingla. 4- Sit it an easy posture, relax the whole body and inhale and exhale, without noise. See with help of the inner eyes, the extent to which the prana travels. Practice to direct prana upto Mooladhars. In a few days the Mooladhara becomes clearly visible. If the earth tatwa is activated after visualising mooladhara then the sushumna's opening appears as a black dot. 5- Sit in an easy posture, develop prana at the navel and establish them in the Agnya Chakra, drink nectar, flex the neck forwards. Hold the breath and apply pressure on the closed eyes.
6-While deciding about the Ida and pingla Nadies concentrate on their middle point. This is the opening of Brahma Nadi hence there are only two suitable points for the entry of Prana. For sushumna it is mooladhar and for Brahma Nadi it is Agnya Chakra it should be done by the following practices ;- ENTRY OF PRANA into Mooladhar :--
03 FACTS;--
1-First activate the earth tatwa and then by mental contemplation direct the prana to mooladhar. The prana revolves round the opening of Sushumna but is unable to enter it because the opening of sushumna does not appear steady.
2-It means, when the chita is steady, the opening of sushumna also appears steady otherwise not. The steady chita is achieved when the modifications of the chita become satwik.
3-This is the real utilization of the practices of the control of modifications of chita. When the opening is visualized in the mooladhara, then the japa of Aum should be performed and nectar should be drunk. ENTRY OF PRANA into Agnya Chakra;---
06 FACTS;-- 1-First visualize the Agnya Chakra and direct the prana into it. Perform the practice of Nectar drinking and do the japa of AUM. Listen to SOHAM or Anhat Nada.
2-The neck should be flexed forward and slight pressure should be applied on the closed eyes with fingers. The subtle body should be directed on to the central luminous point of Agnya Chakra. Wait for the BRAHMA Nadi to open its mouth.
3-As soon as it opens direct the prana and the subtle body into it. The orifice(opening) of sushumna and BRAHMA Nadi keeps on opening from time at intervals of few minutes.
4-When the sound of Thunder of the clouds is perceptible in the Anahata Nadi be careful the orifice is about to open and be ready. As soon as the orifice an (opening, particularly one in the body ) open and Electric light in the form of a ray of light appears coming from. Brahmnada towards Antahakarana.
5-It is exactly like the electric thunder in the clouds. As soon as this electric light is visible entry should be made into the orifice without any delay. 6-The orifice of the BRAHMANADI can only be recognized by the subtle body. Brahma Nadi Chitrini and Vajra Nadies are Brahmani, Saraswati and Gayatri Devis or the Trifaced Devis. WHAT ARE THE SYPTOMS OF THE FLOW OF PRANA INTO SUSHUMNA ?---
07 FACTS;-- 1-When the manas and prana start flowing through the sushumna the Antahakaran experiences peace.
2-The Manas and prana start experiencing the witness form of god and become one with it. Aum is Visualized.
3-The seven chakras and seven lokas start appearing. The subtle body starts working according to the direction given to it and the Manas is happy.
4-The vision in Antahkarana is as if you are seeing in a mirror. Consciousness is awakened and one attains the par-excellent state of Kaivalya.
5-All the charkas and spheres of existence can be seen in the universal existence. The yogi remains cheerful and his soul is quiet and experiences coolness. The curse of darkness disappears. He is blessed by god with every thing just as an obedient child gets from his mother. God (the mother) also bestows everything to the yogi with pleasure. 6-The flow of prana in sushumna gives rise to various visions of clear sky, white light, animals and birds and various Devas and Devis. It is a cool light hence provides bliss.
7-When the prana flows into vajra the quantum of light increases. The divine flame BRAHMAJYOTI and various other bright flames become visible. YOGA NIDRA;--
Some of the finest methods of bringing the flow of prana into the Sushumna channel are the spinal practices of the ancient practice called Yoga Nidra. Bringing prana into Sushumna balances the chakras and prepares the pathway for Kundalini. In a nutshell all these experience can be gained in the height of the sadhana & with the help of mantra jap. ......SHIVOHAM.......
