THE ROLE OF FIVE BRAIN WAVES;-

11 FACTS;-

1-It’s important to understand how your brain contributes to the state of your mind. While most of us focus on looking at our emotions in an attempt to become happier, more spiritual beings, our brain waves and our subconscious mind also play a key part in our quest for fulfillment. Here, we’ll be looking at our five brainwave frequencies and how they affect our state of mind.

2-Everything you do or say is regulated by the frequency of brain waves. There are five main frequency brain waves: Theta, Delta, Alpha, Beta, and Gamma.

3-These brain waves are in constant motion. Frequency is measured in Hertz (Hz.. cycles per second).Theta is the state of mind where you can create everything and change reality instantly.

4-Deep meditation brings us into this state, and is favourable for instant healing. Theta ranges from 4 to 7Hz. It’s a very powerful mental state, a state of deep meditation, deep relaxation and mental clarity. It relieves stress and reduces anxiety in people prone to it, and brings absolute perfect calm.

5-Theta governs the part of our mind that lies between the conscious and the subconscious, and also directs our beliefs and behaviour. It allows you to act below the level of the conscious mind, and will bring feelings of spirituality and inspiration. Theta can be compared to a kind of trance, and it’s the first stage of dreaming.

6-Delta varies between 0 to 4Hz. It’s the state of mind when you’re in deep sleep.Alpha waves are between 7 and 14Hz. It’s a state of detached deep relaxation and light meditation. It’s also the bridge between Beta and Theta. Alpha governs daydreams and fantasy.

7-When we have difficulty in remembering dreams it means we have not generated sufficient Alpha frequency to bridge between the subconscious and the conscious mind.Beta has a frequency of 14 to 28Hz. It’s the state in which you are active and alert. When we talk to others for example, our mind is in Beta.

8-Gamma waves are over 40 Hz, and appear to be involved in higher brain activity, including perception and consciousness. The Alpha-Theta border from 7Hz to 8Hz, is the optimal range for using the creative power of your mind.

It’s the mental state in which you consciously create your reality. At this frequency, you are conscious of your surroundings but your body is in deep relaxation.

9-ARE WE THE CONTROLLER OF OUR REALITY?--

We easily forget that we are the controllers of our reality and that “our reality” is not made up of outside influences, but that it actually consists of our thoughts, beliefs and mindset.

10-Therefore, by learning about the deeper states of consciousness, you can open your subconscious mind and create your reality at will, and with precision. To do this, the first step is understanding your different brain frequencies.

11-We all have five (Beta, Alpha, Theta, Delta and Gamma), and each frequency is measured in cycles per second (Hz) and has its own set of characteristics representing a specific level of brain activity and a unique state of consciousness .

DESCRIPTION OF FIVE BRAIN WAVES;-

1. BETA(14-40Hz) ;— (The waking consciousness and reasoning wave)

Beta brain waves are associated with normal waking consciousness and a heightened state of alertness, logic and critical reasoning.

1-1-While Beta brain waves are important for effective functioning throughout the day, they also can translate into stress, anxiety and restlessness.

1-2-The voice of Beta can be described as being that nagging(persistently painful or worrying) little inner critic that gets louder the higher you go into range. Therefore, with a majority of adults operate at Beta; it’s little surprise that stress is today’s most common health problem.

2. ALPHA (7.5-14Hz); —

The deep relaxation wave

Alpha brain waves are present in deep relaxation and usually when the eyes are closed, when you’re slipping into a lovely daydream or during light meditation. It is an optimal time to program the mind for success and it also heightens your imagination, visualization, memory, learning and concentration.

2-1-It is the gateway to our subconscious mind and lies at the base of your conscious awareness.

The voice of Alpha is your intuition, which becomes clearer and more profound the closer you get to 7.5Hz.

3. THETA (4-7.5Hz); — (The light meditation and sleeping wave)

Theta brain waves are present during deep meditation and light sleep, including the all-important REM (Rapid eye movement sleep)dream state. It is the realm of your subconsciousness and only experienced momentarily as you drift off to sleep from Alpha and wake from deep sleep (from Delta).

3-1-It is said that a sense of deep spiritual connection and unity with the universe can be experienced at Theta.

Your mind’s most deep-seated programs are at Theta and it is where you experience vivid visualizations, great inspiration, profound creativity and exceptional insight. Unlike your other brain waves, the elusive voice of Theta is a silent voice.

3-2-It is at the Alpha-Theta border, from 7Hz to 8Hz, where the optimal range for visualization, mind programming and using the creative power of your mind begins. It’s the mental state which you consciously create your reality. At this frequency, you are conscious of your surroundings however your body is in deep relaxation.

4. DELTA (0.5-4Hz) ;— (the deep sleep wave)

The Delta frequency is the slowest of the frequencies and is experienced in deep, dreamless sleep and in very deep, transcendental meditation where awareness is fully detached.

4-1-Delta is the realm of your unconscious mind, and the gateway to the universal mind and the collective unconscious, where information received is otherwise unavailable at the conscious level.

Among many things, deep sleep is important for the healing process — as it’s linked with deep healing and regeneration. Hence, not having enough deep sleep is detrimental to your health in more ways than one.

5. GAMMA (above 40Hz) – The Insight Wave

This range is the most recently discovered and is the fastest frequency at above 40Hz. While little is known about this state of mind, initial research shows Gamma waves are associated with bursts of insight and high-level information processing.

EFFECTS OF MEDITATION ON BRAINWAVE;--

07 FACTS;-

1-All the above mentioned five brainwave frequencies are normally present together in the brain. However, the dominant frequency in the EEG pattern determines what shall be called the current state of the brain. If the amplitude of the alpha range frequencies is highest, then the brain is said to be in the alpha stage.

2-Note, that other frequencies still exist and it is impossible to give any “exact frequency your brain is operating on.” However, for simplification purpose, it is often assumed that such a single frequency exists. In general, we are accustomed to using the beta brain rhythm.

3-When we diminish the brain rhythm to alpha, we put ourselves in the ideal condition to learn new information, keep facts, perform elaborate tasks, learn languages and analyze complex situations etc. Meditation, relaxation exercises, and activities that enable the sense of calm, also enable this alpha state.

4-As is evident ; these 5 brainwaves produce different type of feelings and state of consciousness in people. A person, who is in meditation, can have any experience related to alpha, theta or delta brainwaves . 5-These five types of brain waves, and each stands for a particular activity. Brain waves fluctuate according to what you do and feel. And, meditation can move the brain waves from a higher frequency to a lower frequency, thereby having the ability to change how you feel.

6-Different part of the brain gets stimulated in a particular manner during meditation. The frontal lobe which plans and reasons switch off during meditation helping you detach and relax.Thalamus which channelizes sensory information in the body slows down enabling you to keep calm. 7-Parietal lobe which gives you a sense of time also slows down helping you to become stress-free.The reticular keeps your brain alert and helps you respond to situations. During meditation, the reticular activity lowers allowing you to keep calm and be peaceful.

LAYA YOGA MEDITATION;-

07 FACTS;- 1-“Lay Yog involves merging the Macrocosm (Sthul) into Microcosm (Sukshm).”Achieving unison with music / mantra is the first step towards achieving the unison between Atma and Paramatma, or what one calls “Yog”.

2-Meditation helps people immerse their ever-running minds in the trance of divine rhythms, and for once experience the absolute stillness that comes when the mind stops with MANTRA /MUSIC. For some, it is a gift of peace, for others an opportunity to glance into unseen depths of being that can be achieved only in still waters. 3-The mantra is guarded like a secret gem. It is the key to the inner doors of Naad, the realm of creative sound. If you listen to the sound of the mantra and then concentrate into the subtle sounds of the mantra, you will become absorbed into the unlimited domain of your Higher Self.

4-The mantra has a structure of 3 ½ cycles in its spin. Each “a” sound at the end of a word lifts the diaphragm which commutes the energy of prana and apana across the heart area. That transformation is one cycle. The 3 ½ cycles is the pulse rhythm of the Kundalini itself. This is why the Kundalini is often represented as coiled 3 ½ times. 5-This mantra takes you to the most subtle realm of creativity. It awakens the Kundalini force that energizes the whole Creation. It awakens your awareness and empowers you to sense your subtle body of the aura. The practice of the meditation gives you intuition and the power to heal. The word “laya” refers to suspension from the ordinary world.

6-Laya Yoga fixes your attention and energy on your essence and your higher consciousness. It lets you absorb into the bliss and creativity of consciousness without the normal distractions and attachments having power over your reactive awareness. 7-This mantra opens the secret book of Laya Yoga. It enables you to consciously remember and experience the link between you and the Creator. You will know the constant flow within you. Practice it regularly . It will etch into the subconscious and the memory and experience of your true identity. This will gain you liberation. EXERCISE OF LAYA YOGA MEDITATION (PART ONE) ;- 1-Sit in Easy Pose or in a chair with a straight spine. Pull a gentle Root Lock and Neck Lock. The eyes are closed and focused at the third eye point.

2-The left hand is in Gyan Mudra resting on the left knee. Block the right nostril with the thumb of the right hand as the other fingers point straight up and the palm faces toward the left.

3-Breathe long, deep and completely through the left nostril for 2-3 minutes. As you breathe, visualize and feel each area of the body.

4-Consciously survey the body from the top of the head to the tip of the toes. Be systematic and thorough. Sense the movement of the prana as it circulates to all the areas you survey. 5- Switch hands and nostrils. Do the same breath through the right nostril for 2-3 minutes. Then inhale deeply, hold briefly and relax PART TWO;--- 1-. Place the hands together in Prayer Mudra at the middle of the chest. 2-Press the middle joint of the thumbs into the center of the sternum between the 5th and 6th ribs. Concentrate at the brow point and visualize that The 3 ½ cycles of Kundalni (white serpant) coiling around Shivling (made of White Cloud) and Kundalni's hood is over Shivling--- chant:------ OM SAT CHIT EIKM BRAHMA (After sometime repeat in mind) The chant has a kind of spin to its rhythm. Mentally you “spin” the sound from the base of the spine up through the crown of the head into the cosmos. . On the “O” sound consciously lift the diaphragm firmly. Start the chant on ' BRAHMA' by pulling the navel point in sharply. TIME: Continue 30 minutes or as you wish. End: Inhale deeply and hold the breath as long as you comfortably can. Then relax. ....... SHIVOHAM........
