NAMAN TO MA DASMAHAVIDYA

NAMAN TO DAKSHINAMURTI SHIVA

07 FACTS TO INTRODUCE THIS BOOK ....

1-Lord Shiva one of the principal deities of Hinduism. He is the Supreme Being within Shaivism, one of the major traditions within contemporary Hinduism.

2-The word "Shiva" means literally, “that which is not.” Today, modern science is proving to us that everything comes from nothing and goes back to nothing. The basis of existence and the fundamental quality of the cosmos is vast nothingness.

3-The galaxies are just a small happening – a sprinkling. The rest is all vast empty space, which is referred to as Shiva. That is the womb from which everything is born, and that is the oblivion into which everything is sucked back. Everything comes from Shiva and goes back to Shiva.

4-Shiva is known as “the destroyer” within the Trimurti, the Hindu trinity that includes Brahma and Vishnu. In Shaivism tradition, Shiva is the Supreme being who creates, protects and transforms the universe.

5-According to the Shaivism sect, the highest form of Shiva is formless, limitless, transcendent and unchanging absolute Brahman, and the primal Atman (soul, self) of

the universe.Lord Shiva is considered the highest, supreme Brahman Himself. As Brahman, Shiva has four aspects, corresponding to the four states and four main functions he represents. They are....

5-1-THE UNMANIFEST ASPECT;- Nirguna Brahman

5-2-THE MANIFEST ASPECT ; - Saguna Brahman

5-3-MATERIAL ASPECT - Virat

5-4-INDIVIDUAL ASPECTS - Ansas or Emanations

6-As in case of Brahman, the unmanifested aspect of Shiva is beyond our knowledge. In this aspect, he is the transcendental reality, the highest and the most unknown, or the Non-Being, in whom Nature (Prakriti) is either absent or latent and undifferentiated. Hence he is devoid of qualities and distinguishing features.

7-He is Brahman Himself, the Supreme Self, the Eternal Truth, the Absolute Principle, who is without a beginning and without an end, indivisible, beyond the senses and mind, without a form and without division, the end of all devotional and spiritual practice, by knowing whom everything is known and realized.

MY REQUEST;-

While attempting this book, care has been taken to avoid ambiguity, by expressing everything in simple language, without resorting to complicate things by adding Sanskrit Shlokas etc. I am grateful to Prakhar ji, because of him, it is online today. I am not a scholar, only a simple bhakt, so it is requested to overlook my mistakes.

To write something about LORD SHIVA is just like to show a lamp to glittering sun;but being a bhakt ,its my effort ,which needs your blessings...

THIS BOOK IS DEDICATED TO MY LORD SHIVA..

...SHIVOHAM...
