HOW TO KNOW THE DIVINE MOTHER?-
09 FACTS;-
1-Kundalini is coiled; serpent power.....The primordial cosmic energy in every individual which eventually, through the practice of yoga, rises up the sushumn nadi. As it rises, the kunalini awakens each successive chakra. Nirvikalpa samdhi, enlightenment, comes as it pierces through the door of Brahman at the core of the sahasrra and enters!..... 2-The Kundalini is your own mother. Your individual mother. And She has tape-recorded all your past and your aspirations, everything. And She rises because She wants to give you your second birth, but She is your individual mother. You don't share Her with anybody else. Yours is a different, somebody else's is different because the tape-recording is different. We say She is the reflection of the Adi Shakti who is called as Holy Ghost in the Bible. But She rises without any difficulty. It is an electric fiery occult power, the great pristine force which underlies all organic and inorganic matter. 3-Kundalini is the cosmic power in individual bodies. It is not a material force like electricity, magnetism, centripetal or centrifugal force. It is a spiritual potential Shakti or cosmic power. In reality it has no form. The Sthula Buddhi and mind have to follow a particular form in the beginning stage. From this gross form, one can easily, understand the subtle formless Kundalini. Prana, Ahamkara, Buddhi, Indriyas, mind, five gross elements, nerves are all the products of Kundalini. 4-It is the coiled-up, sleeping Divine Shakti that lies dormant in all beings. You have seen in the Muladhara Chakra that there is Svayambhu Linga. The head of the Linga is the space where Sushumna Nadi is attached to the Kanda. This mysterious Kundalini lies face downwards at the mouth of Sushumna Nadi on the head of Svayambhu Linga. It has three and a half coils like a serpent. When it is awakened, it makes a hissing sound like that of a serpent beaten with a stick, and proceeds to the other Chakra through the Brahma Nadi, which is also called Chitra Nadi within Sushumna. Hence Kundalini is also called Bhujangini, serpent power. The three coils represent the three Gunas of Prakriti: Sattva, Rajas and Tamas, and the half represents GUNATEET... 5-Kundalini is the Goddess of speech and is praised by all. She Herself, when awakened by the Yogin, achieves for him the illumination. It is She who gives Mukti and Jnana for She is Herself that. She is also called Sarasvati, as She is the form of Sabda Brahman. She is the source of all Knowledge and Bliss. She is pure consciousness itself. She is Brahman. She is Prana Shakti, the Supreme Force, The Mother of Prana, Agni, Bindu, and Nada. 6-It is by this Shakti that the world exists. Creation, preservation and dissolution are in Her. Only by her Shakti the world is kept up. It is through Her Shakti on subtle Prana, Nada is produced. While you utter a continuous sound or chant Dirgha Pranava ! (OM), you will distinctly feel that the real vibration starts from the Muladhara Chakra. Through the vibration of this Nada, all the parts of the body function. She maintains the individual soul through the subtle Prana. In every kind of Sadhana the Goddess Kundalini is the object of worship in some form or the other. 7-KUNDALINI is the secret knowledge of our inner being which was known in India thousands of years back. There is a residual power within us which is located in the triangular bone at the base of our spine. This power was available thousands of years back in India, the awakening of the Kundalini was done, traditionally, on an individual basis only. One guru would give awakening to on disciple. As a result of that awakening, what happens is that you achieve your self-realisation, your self-hood. Secondly, when this power is awakened, it rises and passes through six subtle energy centres in your body, nourishing them and integrating them. 8-Ultimately this power breaks through the fontanelle bone area called as the Talu or Divine love, which is described in the bible also as the "cool breeze of the Holy Ghost", also in the Koran as "Ruh" and also in the India scriptures as "Paramchaitanya." Patanjali has called it as "Ritambhara Pragya." Whatever the name, this is a power which is all-pervading, which does all the subtle works of living process, of evolutionary process. The existence of this all-pervading energy is not felt before realisation but after self-realisation you can feel it on your fingertips or at the centre of your palm or above the fontanelle bone area. 9-Kundalini is innate for all people: At the base of the spine, subtler than the physical body, lies the Kundalini energy, or spiritual energy, in a latent form. Regardless of what religious, spiritual, or meditation tradition one follows, the awakening of this energy, by whatever name you call it, is a most innate and essential part of spiritual advancement, unfoldment, or realization.
WHAT IS THE LITERAL MEANING OF KUNDALINI?-
12 FACTS;- 1-Kundalini-Shakti: The word kunda means a bowl in which fire is burned. Thus, when Shakti resides in a bowl called kunda at the base of the spine, it is called Kundalini-Shakti. Going back to the river metaphor, imagine that you are holding a bowl called kunda in your hand. When you plunge the bowl into the river, you say, "I have put the bowl into the river." However, the moment you pull your hand and the bowl out of the river, you say, "I have water in the bowl." In that moment, the river was given a new name, changing it from river to water. 2-Kundalini: Then, in our common language, the word Shakti is dropped away, and the energy in the bowl is simply called Kundalini. In effect, Kundalini-Shakti has been given a new name, simply Kundalini. Even though it is now called simply Kundalini, it remains none other than pure Shakti. The only difference, if you can call it a difference, is that the Shakti is now in the bowl. 3-Meaning of kunda and kundala: Kunda means bowl, or cave, and refers to the bowl of fire of consciousness resting in the first chakra at the base of the spine. It refers to that which resides in that bowl. Kundala means coiled, as the Shakti forms in a coil there. 4-Meaning of shak: The word shak is the root word of Shakti, and means to be able, or to have power. Hence, Kundalini Shakti is the power of consciousness that is coiled in a latent form, in the base of the spine. 5-Prana: A tiny amount of the energy called Kundalini radiates off of its subtle mass, like steam rising from a bowl of boiling water. That radiating energy is called Prana. Again, once it changes form slightly, it gets a new name. Just like the water turning to steam, while still remaining water, the Kundalini, which is still Shakti, "becomes" Prana. 6-Nadis: That Prana tends to flow in certain patterns, or lines, like the steam rising in more or less predictable channels. These lines, patterns, or channels are called Nadis. Once again, a new name is introduced. 7-Chakras, marmas: The thousands of Nadis, with their Prana (that is really both a small amount of Kundalini, and still Shakti), crisscross here and there like minor or major highway intersections. Those major highway intersections are called Chakras (minor intersections are Marmas or Marmashtanas). It is because of this crossing pattern, like highway intersections, or spokes on a wheel, that the word chakra is used, which literally translates as wheel. 8-Vayus: From there the Chakras, with their different shapes and styles of intersection, cause five flows of energy called Vayus. h-Bhutas, tattvas: These take on the qualities of earth, water, fire, air, and space, which are called Tanmatras and Bhutas at their subtle and gross levels 9-Indriyas: Also from the subtle energy emerge the five Jnanendriyas or cognitive senses of smelling, tasting, seeing, touching, and hearing, as well as the Karmendriyas or instruments of action of eliminating, replicating, moving, holding, and communicating. 10-Brain, body, breath: Collectively these manifest as the various aspects of our physical brain, body, and breath. Still, they are none other than the Shakti, Kundalini-Shakti, Kundalini, and Prana flowing in Nadis, which they were all along. 11-There is only one energy: One of the major insights of Tantra and Yoga meditation, possibly the key to the whole science of Tantra, is that there is only one energy in the whole of the universe, and our task is to know that, in direct experience. l2-Experiencing that one energy: With Kundalini awakening, the full force of the dormant Kundalini comes forth from its dormant state. To awaken the Kundalini and allow it to rise through the levels of manifestation, returning to its source, is the ultimate Realization of the Absolute, which is both mother and father aspects of reality, Shakti and Shiva. Through self effort in Tantra and Yoga meditation, and the bestowing of grace, the sincere aspirant experiences this Truth.
WHAT IS THE UNITY OF SHIV & SHAKTI?-- There is no place that He is not. There is no place that She is not. They are one and the same. She is in every thing. She is in every word. She is all there is. See Her in all things. Hear Her in all sounds. Know Her in all thoughts. Feel Her in all feelings. She is all there is. She is the one in the three worlds**. Shiva and Shakti are one and the same. That is the secret......................................... WHAT ARE THE REFERENCES IN THE SACRED TEXTS OF INDIA?--
05 POINTS;- There are numerous references to Kundalini in the sacred texts of India. 1-Shankaracharya, in his famous treatise, Saundarya Lahari, says: "The invincible Kundalini Shakti pierces the six chakras and enters its abode slowly step by step." 2- In the Mundamalatantra , Kundalini Shakti is called the basic force of the body. 3-In the Varahopanishad Kundalini is called the supreme power. 4-In the Yogashikhopanishad it is stated that when Kundalini Shakti rises above its resting point (the kanda), the yogi attains liberation. 5- In the Yajurveda, Kundalini is mentioned as a virgin energy which moves like a devoted wife and destroys all evils, and, by its slight movement, through its fiery energy, pierces the chakras... MEDICAL SCIENCE & KUNDALINI ENERGY;--
03 FACTS;- 1-SCIENCE & PHYSICS;-
Modern science also considers these two forms of energy, though viewing them in different ways. Science includes, for example, potential energy and kinetic energy (the energy of motion), recognizing that they are both manifestations of the same underlying energy. Tantra describes the unification of all as the pouring out of the energy of consciousness through the manifestation of the static (Shiva) through a veiling and projecting process (Shakti), creating the levels of the universe. At the physical level, modern physics also seeks to find a unifying source, and is in the process of explaining this unification through quark(Physics: atoms, molecules & sub-atomic particles) and string theories. 2-The Kundalini energy penetrating the nervous system when the latter has reached a certain age of evolution. Thus, embryology has established that over the interval of the first 2-3 months, a radical change arises in the human embryo brain. Over the second month, there are already structures (like the hypothalamus) that are capable of separating the pencil of the Kundalini energy. The evolution of the fetal brain takes place between the 8th and the 12th weeks of pregnancy by an increase in the number of nervous cells.
3-The genetic program controls the 14 billions of these cells (the number is supposed to be much higher after others) resulting in the creation of the brain as an organ. The quantitative generating process is suddenly interrupted during the 12th week when the cells start making an increasing number of connections. At the moment of birth each and every cerebral neuron is connected to other cells through approximately one thousand intercellular connections, to be later increased to about one quarter of a million connections with other cells in the period of maturity. During the eight week, the root of the sacral nerve becomes noticeable, and during the thirteen week the backbone marrow has got its final shape. THE ENTERING OF KUNDALINI (VARIOUS OPINIONS);-
03 FACTS;- -1-The entering of the Kundalini is described as follows: "It is just as the soul which waits for its entry into the fetus until the latter's vital powers are sufficiently completed to enable it to receive the higher state of things." 2- The Ishraqi movement, founded by the prominent Sufi believed that the Holy Spirit bestowed the light (or soul) on the embryo. 3- 'As regards our creation, every one of us is collected in the womb of mother for the first forty days, and then becomes a clot for another forty days, and then a piece of flesh for other forty days. Then Allah sends an angel to write four words... Then the soul is breathed into his body." The angel sent is the piercing pencil of vibratory energy, the four written words are the four rays, and the breath is the manifestation specific to the Kundalini that is felt above the fontanel like a cool breeze. NOTE;-
The convergence of the ancient Indian concepts, of the conclusions of modern embryology, and of religious ethics consenting the abortion before the fetus has reached three months is indeed remarkable. A SHORT ANALYSIS OF SACRUM BONE;---
05 FACTS;- 1-The sacrum in human anatomy is a large, triangular bone at the base of the spine. 2-The sacrum has three different surfaces which are shaped to accommodate surrounding pelvic structures. Overall it is concave (curved upon itself). The base of the sacrum (the broadest and uppermost part) is tilted forward as the sacral promontory internally. 3-Why this bone had been called a "holy bone" has been a mystery for centuries. Some thought that the bone was used in sacrificial rituals, others, that it played a role in the protection of genitals (considered to be sacred in themselves), or that the Last Judgment would require this cone to be intact as a receptacle of resurrection.
3-The ancient assumed that the sacrum was the last bone subject to decay after death (conviction found in a Jewish folk story).
4-This idea is also found with the Muslims . The Prophet said: "Everything of a human will waste away, perish or decay except the last coccyx bone and from that bone Allah will reconstruct the whole body." Thus, no one should be surprised at the Yogis considering the Kundalini awakening as tantamount to resurrection(fact of bringing someone back to life). 5-The Mooladhara was shown to be controlled by Ganesha, the Divine Son depicted with an elephant head by the Hindu iconography. Indeed, any anatomy book provides the image of an elephant head for the group made up of the sacrum bone (elephant's triangular face) having on both sides the iliac bones (as its ears) and the coccyx (as its curved trunk) at the bottom. WHAT IS THE TRADITIONAL KUNDALINI SCIENCE?--
04 FACTS;- 1-The study of Kundalini is the study of spirituality. Kundalini Shakti is the essential common factor operant in all spiritual experiences, regardless of one’s path or tradition, for Kundalini is not a path in itself but is that which guides us along our chosen path. 2-The ancient science of understanding Kundalini Shakti is found in all spiritual traditions, though varying terms and symbols are used to describe it, and many methods are used to attain it. 3-Impressive among the available models in its breadth, technical precision, variety of methods, vocabulary, and inclusivity, is the Vedic model of Kundalini science, called Kundalini Vidya. 4-Traditional Kundalini Science (TKS) is based on Yogic, Vedantic, and Kundalini texts as well as the sacred scriptures and methods of other spiritual traditions. It is ecumenical and does not seek to alter a person’s spiritual orientation or lineage but rather to build on and deepen it. WHAT ARE THE SCHOOL OF TANTRAS(Kaula, Mishra, & Samaya)? 03 FACTS;- 1-The three schools of tantra are kaula, mishra, and samaya. The kaula school starts with the lower chakras, and involves external practices. The mishra school also works with external practices, and emphasizes the central chakras. The samaya school is the highest, emphasizing the upper chakras. It involves no external practices, focusing only on the inner (antaryag) practices. (The Tantra practice of Yoga Nidra is extremely effective in opening, balancing and purifying the chakras 2-Tantra considers the universe to be a manifestation of pure consciousness. Through this process of manifesting, consciousness divides itself into two parts, which cannot exist without one another (though appearing to divide, they actually remain one and the same).
3-One aspect remains as a static, formless quality (shiva), while the other is a dynamic, creative aspect (shakti). The two eternally coexist, like ink and the written word, which, though one and the same, are different. The journey of Tantra is to know them both, at once, as one. Through a process of kundalini awakening, the two are eventually experienced in their state of union. WHAT IS YOGA?--
03 FACTS;- 1-All Yoga is Kundalini Yoga: While some people use a specific terminology "Kundalini Yoga" for certain practices, all of Yoga actually leads to the activation of Kundalini. Thus, in a sense, all of Yoga is Kundalini Yoga, regardless of whether you use that specific name.
2-Awakening kundalini and leading it to union with the Absolute is the goal of the Himalayan sages and the path of Yoga, Vedanta, and Tantra.Every aspect of yoga in some way activates Kundalini.
3-In fact, everything that you do, if you go and jump for 10 minutes or play football, will activate your Kundalini to some extent. In moments of absolute involvement in a game, people show a phenomenal sense of energy, which is not possible for them in normal situations. This is because the Kundalini gets activated in intense activity. But consciously trying to crack it open and use it is a different business. That has to be done under absolute control and guidance.
NOTE--In the Himalayan tradition, Yoga, Vedanta, and Tantra are companion practices.
