SEVEN INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT THE PINEAL GLAND;--

1-Staring at the central dot or ‘bindu’ of the Sri Yantra is known and proven to create changes within the brain and the stimulation of the Pineal gland by focussing our attention on the ‘3rd eye’ area.

2-The Pineal gland is a small endocrine gland in the brain. It produces melatonin, a serotonin derived hormone, which affects the modulation of sleep patterns in both seasonal and circadian rhythms. Its shape resembles a tiny pine cone , and it is located in the epithalamus, near the center of the brain, between the two hemispheres, tucked in a groove where the two halves of the thalamus join. 3-The pineal gland is formed at 49 days within the human embryo: the same time that Tibetans believe it takes for a soul to reincarnate. And the same amount of days that the human embryo becomes either male or female. 4- In the ancient Vedic energy system of the chakras, the pineal gland is referred to as the ‘Ajna’ or ‘3rd Eye’ chakra. Modern studies reveal that the gland contains rods and cones – just like those found in the retina of your eyes! This is why when you visualize something strongly enough, you can literally see it “in your mind’s eye.”Your pineal gland receives more blood flow per cubic area than any other gland in your body. In other words, compared to all your other organs – including your lungs, your heart and your brain – this tiny little gland gets the highest concentration of energy

5-This is perhaps why the pineal gland is known in many cultures as the ‘Seat of the Soul’, the ‘Gateway to the Universe’, the ‘Mind’s Eye’ and the ‘Doorway to Higher Realms’. 6-Your pineal gland is also important to your physical and mental health, and its wellbeing has been linked to memory, creativity, intuition and critical thinking skills. It is also sensitive to light and plays an important role in your sleep and waking cycles. When light strikes the retina of your eyes, it travels through a tiny nerve system and into the gland. When the lights go off, it sends a signal to the pineal gland to begin secreting melatonin, which activates your nervous system to go into sleep mode.

7-The Sri Yantra is considered to be a symbol of immense power partly because when you meditate for prolonged periods on it, you focus your attention on the area between you eyebrows which stimulates the pineal gland.

TEN POINTS OF SRI YANTRA;--

.1-. Sri Yantra is much like a pilgrimage for a yogi; with each step, the yogi ascends from the base towards the center, ultimately uniting with the Universe. 2-Sri Yantra represents the microcosmic level of the Universe as well as the human body. 3-Chakra is formed by superimposition of 5 downward triangles and 4 upright triangles; a combination of female and male principles.5- Sri Chakra is said to represent the infinite power of the Goddess; it is the geometric form of the Goddess Herself. 4-. It is not the creation of someone’s intellect or mere symbolic of Vedanta’s central lessons; the geometry, sages say, appeared to self-realized yogis in samadhi 5-Sri-Yantra is worshipped or meditated upon in three forms – a 2D form and two 3D forms. 6. The mathematics involved in the creation of this geometrical calculation is so complex that mathematicians are often baffled how Vedic people could have done it without the knowledge of present day mathematics 7-For yogis, Sri Yantra is much like a tuning fork that helps connect them to the universal consciousness. 8-Modern science has acknowledged the cosmic power of multi pyramid grids of Sri Yantra. Most of the temples and places of worship in India were built on the lines of Sri Yantra Meru formation.

9-Even in places like Cambodia, Indonesia and Egypt which has ancient Indian influence the places of worship and pyramids were built on the lines of Sri Yantra. The very formation of Sri Yantra brings in such a tremendous amount of peace and good fortune.

10-The renowned American physicist Dr. Patrick Flanagan calls the Sri Yantra the 'king of power symbols' and describes its energetic effect as seventy times greater than that of a pyramid construction. A three centimeter Sri Yantra possesses a greater energetic effect than a two meter pyramid..
