WHAT IS SHIV LINGAM ?--
03 FACTS;--
1-The Shiva lingam is a representation of the Hindu divinity Shiva and is used for worship in temples and homes.In traditional Indian culture, the Shiva linga is fairly seen as an image of the energy and capability of Lord Shiva Himself.
2-Shiv linga represents the Cosmic Egg ('Brahmanda' in Sanskrit) which has neither a starting nor an end. It is believed that this evolving world ('Jagat' in Sanskrit) eventually merges or breaks down into the formless system. In this way, the Shiva lingam is the most straightforward indication of development. 3-Shiva linga represents the holy union / "indivisible two-in-oneness of male and female, Prakriti and Purusha, the passive space and active time from which all life originates.

12 FACTS;-- 1-A Shiva Lingam has three distinct parts which are considered as Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.
2-The lower part represents Brahma, the middle Vishnu and the upper and the most prominent represents Shiva. Thus Shiva Lingam represents all the three powers in one- as the Para Brahma or Supreme Shiva consciousness. 3-There is mysterious and indescribable power in Shiva Lingam to induce the concentration of mind. It is like the crystal glazing; the mind easily attains one- pointedness and nothingness by looking at the Shiva Lingam. 4-This is the reason why ancient scholars and sages advocated the worship of Shiva Lingam and its installations in temples for realization of Supreme Consciousness. 5-The Shiva linga when installed at home or temple induces vibrations of peace, harmony and oneness with the source. It is the most potent form of Shiva worshipped by Saints and Yogis for self-realization. 6-There are nine planets and 12 zodiac constellations. When these nine planets move through the 12 zodiac signs, they can create 108 different kinds of effects in our lives. 6-1--When we chant SHIVOHAM it forms a protective shield around us and saves us from these effects.The popular belief is that the Shiva Linga or Lingam represents the phallus, the emblem of the generative power in nature. This is not only a serious mistake, but also a grave blunder.
7-In Sanskrit, Linga means a 'mark' or a symbol, which points to an inference. Thus the Shiva Linga is a symbol of Lord Shiva - a mark that reminds of the Omnipotent Lord, which is formless.
8-Shiva Linga speaks to the devotee in the unmistakable language of silence, and it is only the outward symbol of the formless being, Lord Shiva, who is the undying soul seated in the chambers of your heart, who is your in-dweller, your innermost self or 'Atman',and who is identical with the supreme 'Brahman'.
9-The ancient scripture Linga Purana says that the foremost Linga is devoid of smell, colour, taste, etc., and is spoken of as 'Prakriti' or Nature itself. In the post-Vedic period, the Linga became symbolical of the generative power of Lord Shiv.
11-The Linga is like an egg, and represents the 'Brahmanda' or the cosmic egg. Linga signifies that the creation is effected by the union of 'Prakriti' and 'Purusha', the male and the female powers of Nature. Linga also signifies 'Satya', 'Jnana' and 'Ananta' (Truth, knowledge and Infinity)

1-The process is, to meditate on (at AJNA CHAKRA) ,SHIV LINGAM made of white cloud; a KUNDALINI also made of white cloud ; wrapping three coils around , with elastic movement, keeping majestic hood over SHIVLINGAM ;means three & half (symbol of three gunas & zero.
2-There is a mysterious or indescribable power or 'Shakti' in the Linga, to induce concentration of the mind, and helps focus one's attention. That is why the ancient sages and seers of India prescribed Linga to be installed in the temples of Lord Shiva.
3-For a sincere devotee, the Linga is not merely a block of stone. It is all-radiant, talks to him, raises him above body-consciousness, and helps to communicate with the Lord. Lord Rama worshiped the Shiva Linga at Rameshwaram. Ravana, the learned scholar, worshiped the golden Linga for its mystical powers
4-When the mind is clear and is without prejudices, we will realize that the Linga form of Shiva is the most innocent form of Brahman that our ancestors had realized. It is pure and they got it from pure nature. Many of the forms that we worship today are the reflections of our mind, which is corrupted by ego, society and education.
5-When Brahma and Vishnu fight over the supremacy, the come to Maheshwara to be their judge. And Shiva manifests as infinite pillar of energy and asks them to find either of its end. So linga is also the form of infinite energy.
6-It also represents holding infinite energy in Cosmic form (so is the shape of Nuclear reactors, Electric Bulb etc.).
