WHAT IS REIKI HEALING?- 05 FACTS;- 1-Reiki is a form of alternative energy therapy developed in 1922 by Mikao Usui of Japan. It is a form of hands-on healing therapy that combines the use of touch and energy channeling to promote a sense of deep relaxation and healing. The aim of Reiki is to clear the body of energetic blocks, allowing the energy to flow freely and for balance to be restored.Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing and well-being. 2-Reiki is a Japanese term that may be translated to mean "universal life/energy." It is a combination of rei, meaning "universal life," and and ki, meaning "energy." Ki can be viewed as synonymous to chi, prana or cosmic energy. 3-Much like the flow of prana, the flow of ki determines the level of one's health. A balanced energetic flow of ki keeps a person healthy, while a disrupted energy flow can adversely affect physical health and mental well-being. By clearing energetic blocks, ki energy can flow properly through all the channels of the body. 4-Reiki therapy allows ki energy from the hands of the therapist to flow to the person needing healing. Hand positions are used on or above the recipient's body. The best way to optimize (make the most effective use)energy flow is by lying down while the energy is being given by the practitioner. Reiki can also be received while standing, sitting or even remotely, as distance healing is also possible. 5-Reiki can heal on a physical, mental, and spiritual level. It can help with physical pain, insomnia, depression, and much more. Once attuned to the energy, you can administer Reiki on yourself, other people, animals, plants, food, and water. WHAT IS NYASA ?- 04 FACTS;- 1-In Hinduism, nyasa is a Tantric ritual that involves a series of touches in specific locations on the body. This is done by a "seer," or rishi, who chants a specific mantra to “place” it on a body part. ... In Sanksrit, nyasa means “placing” or “touching.” 2-Nyasa is a Sanskrit word which translates as “placing,” “applying,” or “touching” ; But it is much more.In Hinduism, nyasa is a Tantric ritual that involves a series of touches in specific locations on the body ;done by a "seer," or rishi . It is thought that this ritual imparts the presence of a deity in the body, or makes the body of the individual more divine. 3-In Tantric yoga or meditation, practitioners may lay hands on themselves or mentally “place” a mantra in specific locations on the body.Nyasa is the conscious act of touching or placing the fingers or hands on sacred, sensitive, or medicinally active points of the body. 4-In hindu tantric meditations and pujas, the practitioner lays his hands on himself in each of these places, in special sequences. The meditator infuses each location with a special mantra, visualization, or feeling, which is spoken aloud or mentally conjured (cause (a spirit or ghost) to appear by means of a magic ritual).. REIKI & YOGA;-- One of the most widely practiced forms of yoga is asana, or postures that connect movement with breath. But, there is much more about yoga to explore beyond asana; seven other limbs, in fact. There may come a time in your practice where physical poses aren’t as essential as what is blooming internally. 06 FACTS;- 1-The practice of yoga increases the flow of Reiki energy into our lives. Where yoga may help us understand Reiki in a much deeper way, Reiki may help us understand the deeper energies of yoga. The practice of Reiki and yoga go hand in hand while assisting students in their postures. 2-Yoga poses and sequences can open and align the seven main chakras of the body. A thoughtfully sequenced asana (posture) practice can free up energy and stimulate imbalances in the energy centers. This not only enhances a person’s yoga practice, but also provides a sense of balance, grounding, and calmness in life off the yoga mat. 3-Recent mainstream media about Reiki and yoga in Newsweek certainly have spread the awareness of energy work significantly despite Reiki and yoga being around for ages. So what are the health benefits combining energy healing with a yoga practice? 4-All living things are comprised of energy, also called ki, chi, or prana. Our bodies are energetic in nature. Our bones resonate( to produce a positive feeling, emotional response)at lower frequencies while our blood, thoughts, and so forth vibrate at higher frequencies. Reiki energy connects our higher self with everything around us. 5-Yoga and Reiki can be used in conjunction with one another to experience ultimate transformation. Yoga can be likened to peeling away the layers of an onion. As each layer sheds, more and more unravels about the self. The process can be both empowering and a little scary. 6-It is between these sensitive layers where the application of energy work such as Reiki can have a life-changing response. Once one is completely open to receiving, Reiki will go to the area of the body, mind, or spirit, where it is most needed. WHAT IS REIKI HEALING?-
07 FACTS;- 1-To prepare to heal with both yoga and Reiki, first replace doubt and fear with a sense of adventure. 2-Begin with slow, intentional breath and meditation before initiating asana. Your asana practice can last from a few minutes up to a full yoga practice. After movement, find a supported seat or reclined (relaxed position) pose such as Savasana to begin a self-treatment, or have a Reiki practitioner facilitate healing. 3-Keep an open heart, and release any attachment to the outcome of your session. Though Reiki and yoga are very different, practicing them together can be a fortunate discovery for nourishing the inner self.Reiki and Yoga... a natural combination. 4-Reiki Yoga is the union of two ancient traditions to offer physical, mental, and spiritual wellness. It is a soothing practice that combines carefully selected gentle Yin Yoga postures held for 3 to 5 minutes, with a Reiki treatment offered by a master using the imposition of the hands to support and boost the natural healing and cleansing processes in the body. 5-This unique and exclusive combination, signature of The Yoga Trail, (chain) encourages the flow of life energy (Prana or Ki) in the body removing blockages and unbalances in the chakras, re-establishing inner peace and well-being. 6-Reiki helps restore harmony in the mind, body and spirit. Life energy flows through our subtle bodies along pathways and chakras. When energy flows freely, we experience health and well-being. Conversely, when the flow of energy is disrupted or restricted, we are more vulnerable to illness. 7-The Reiki treatment consists of the positioning of the master's hands on the receiver's body, with or without touch. It concentrates on the Chakras, energy centers along the spine, and on the main internal organs. Reiki has no ideological, political or religious purpose and does not aim at substituting any therapy or medical treatment. Reiki is something you should really experience yourself: just be open, release expectations and enjoy the relaxation. PREPARATION OF REIKI ATTUNEMENT;-
12 FACTS;- In order to improve the results you receive during the attunement, a process of purification is recommended. This will allow the attunement energies to work more efficiently and create greater benefits for you. The following steps are optional. Follow them if you feel guided to do so. 1. Refrain from eating meat, fowl or fish for three days prior to the attunement. These foods often contain drugs in the form of penicillin and female hormones and toxins in the form of pesticides and heavy metals that make your system sluggish and throw it out of balance. 2. Consider a water or juice fast for one to three days especially if you already are a vegetarian or have experience with fasting. 3. Minimize your use of coffee and caffeine drinks or stop completely. They create imbalances in the nervous and endocrine systems. Use no caffeine drinks on the day of the attunement. 4. Use no alcohol for at least three days prior to the attunement. 5. Minimize or stop using sweets. Eat no chocolate. 6. If you smoke, cut back, and smoke as little as possible on the day of the attunement. 7. Meditate an hour a day for a least a week using a style you are familiar with or simply spend this time in silence. 8. Reduce or eliminate time watching TV, listening to the radio, and reading newspapers. 9. Go for quiet walks, spend time with nature, and get moderate exercise. 10. Give more attention to the subtle impressions and sensations within and around; contemplate their meaning. 11. Release all anger, fear, jealousy, hate, worry, etc. up to the light. Create a sacred space within and around you. 12. By receiving an attunement you will become part of a group of people who are using Reiki to heal themselves, and each other, and who are working together to heal the Earth. You will also be receiving help from Reiki guides and other spiritual beings who are also working towards these goals. While Reiki is not a religion, you may prepare your mind with intention work and pray in a religious mode comfortable to you to prepare to open to higher spiritual energies and experiences. STEP BY STEP ATTUNEMENT PROCEDURE( LEVEL 0I) The main purpose of an attunement or reiju (pronounced Ray-joo) is to raise the student’s energy level to re-connect to the true inner self (soul), plus strengthen the connection to universal spiritual energy. 1st initiation;- Energy is utilized through student’s physical body to raise energy vibrational level and to increase healing capacity. Attunement opens crown chakra to access and channel more universal energy light, plus initiate universal wisdom and purpose to flow 2nd initiation;- Energy operates through student’s etheric body (spiritual double located slightly above the physical body). Attunement opens cervical and spinal column to improve the functioning of entire nervous system, plus open throat chakra to enhance communication 3rd initiation;- Balances student’s right and left brain for clearer thinking and action 4th initiation;- Influences student’s pineal and pituitary glands, which increase higher consciousness and intuition. The pineal gland located at the 7th chakra (crown) increases perception of light, plus connects student to the universal source of energy. The pituitary gland located at the 6th chakra (third eye) is also influenced to balance the endocrine system ), as well as the brain. The symbols are permanently sealed into the student’s hands and aura, before the energies between student and Master, are disconnected. This initiation completes the process allowing the energy channels to remain open. Preparing Students for Attunement Process (to relax student);-- 1-Play soft Reiki music 2-Sit with feet flat on the floor, place hands on laps (avoid crossing limbs – this indicates non-acceptance for receiving) 3-Close your eyes, take 3-deep breaths and relax 4-Take a moment to scan yourself;- Starting at your feet and working upward toward your crown, observe any tenseness and relax each muscle 5-Say to students, “You are safe and secure at all times” SIX STEPS OF PROCEDURE;- 1-Ring bell for student to enter attunement room 2-When student enters the attunement room they will Bow to Reiki Master (to show respect. 3-Sit on stool with back straight, but comfortable 4-Feet flat on floor (avoid crossing legs – this indicates non-acceptance for receiving) 5-Hands held loosely on lap (avoid crossing hands – this indicates non-acceptance for receiving) 6-Close eyes and relax IS IT A CONTROVERSIAL PRACTICE?- 03 FACTS;- 1-Reiki, like many disciplines that fall under the rather loose category of New Age practice, is somewhat controversial, and many in western medical science believe it works by power of suggestion—as a placebo, in other words—and is, at best, pseudo-science(a collection of beliefs or practices mistakenly regarded as being based on scientific method.). It is wise to remember, however, that there was a time when western science labeled disciplines such as yoga and Tai Chi as pseudosciences, too. 2-Now, however, yoga and many other practices rooted in ancient oriental medicine and spiritual disciplines are widely regarded as efficious means of dealing with many physical and emotional conditions. 3-A great many practitioners believe through real experience that Reiki indeed has the ability to reduce stress, improve well-being, and even cure health issues. The success and wide popularity of Reiki suggests that the movement of subtle internal energies by skilled individuals is not pseudoscience at all, but a most practical form of healing. NOTE;- FOR A KUNDALINI SADHAK ;REIKI HEALING IS A SPONTANEOUS BURST PRACTICE; WITH THE HELP OF MANTRA POWERS...BUT FOR DESERVING ONES ONLY,NOT FOR MONEY.
