THE MYSTERY OF THE RAINBOW BODY;- 15 FACTS;- 1-Rainbow Body is a Tibetan Buddhist term that refers to a phenomenon wherein the bodies of spiritually perfected people dissolve at death into a stream of rainbow colored light.
2-In most cases the body shrinks to child like size, however it is not uncommon for the body to completely vanish. It is said that over one hundred sixty thousand people have left the world in rainbow body. 3-The book, The Illusion of Death, speaks to eleven of them. It seems that on the average of about every ten years the West learns of another rainbow body incident. 4-The presence of light in the phenomenon is noteworthy for it indicates that, in the dissolution, something of an atomic nature is taking place. 5-Anytime light is detected by humans it is because photons are present. Photons, the basic units of light, are released whenever atomic objects pass from a high energy to a low energy state. 6-The phenomenon is found most commonly in the Nyingma tradition, one of four Tibetan Buddhist sects. Most of the practitioners follow a life long regimented practice known as Dzogchen, which is also unique to the Nyingma tradition. It frequently involves twenty to thirty years periods in hermitic conditions, some in total darkness. 6-A-Dzogchen MEANING..."Great Perfection", Sanskrit: अतियोग, is a tradition of teachings in Tibetan Buddhism aimed at discovering and continuing in the natural primordial state of being. It is a central teaching of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism and of Bon. 7-In Dzogchen the practitioner adopts the view that all reality is an illusion. It is a blatant denial of one’s biological design. The practitioner reinforces this view with deep meditation, purging the mind of the background noise of the senses which speak contrarily to the solidity, not emptiness, of everything. 8-Action is the most important part of the practice as it involves actually placing emptiness in day-to-day life. Action leads to detachment from illusionary material things. 9-Practitioners are also keen to the effects of karma derived from both this life and past lives. The effects of karma are such to steer, potentially, one’s efforts toward spiritual perfection involuntarily to some lesser objective. 10-To this end the practitioners are devoted to a life of the highest standard of moral and ethical behavior as an offset to the karmic winds which might other wise blow them off course. 11-In its essence, Dzogchen is a practice to not be a self. It indicates that the human body is but a proxy for the human mind; self organized into form. An empty (of self) mind is an empty body. The practice speaks to the benefits of selflessness, a virtue that is actively promoted in all religious traditions. 12-In fact, every single living cell communicates through the language of light. The transmittal of energy across the electromagnetic spectrum is what allows an intricate web of communication between every single living system. This web of energy – or rainbow existence is what directs life. 13-The frequency at which each living system must communicate with other systems must be faster than the speed of light in order to keep us all ‘connected’. 14-These photons( "visible-light particle") have also been recorded in remote viewing experiments, where highly sensitive equipment can detect when ‘consciousness’ is entering a sealed, dark room, to view an object there. 15- It seems that a burst of photonic energy lights up the equipment at the exact moment that the object is being ‘viewed’ by a psychic, sometimes on the other side of the planet. THREE KEY POINT;- 1-The Rainbow Body passing of the Buddhist monk Khenpo A-Chos in 1998 has received considerable internet attention. On passing, nothing remained of the monk’s body. Father Francis Tiso, a highly respected Catholic priest, visited the site and interviewed eyewitnesses to the event. A-Chos’ accomplishment was reviewed on site by another investigator and also reported in a Chinese newspaper. All substantially validate Father Tiso’s investigation 2- F.A. Popp and his colleague, W. Klimek also found a profound significance in photonic light for use in healing modalities and wrote a book describing its possible applications.. 3-Christina Sarich the Author is a musician, yogi, humanitarian and freelance writer who channels many hours of studying Lao Tzu, Paramahansa Yogananda, Rob Brezny, Miles Davis, and Tom Robbins into interesting tidbits to help you Wake up Your Sleepy Little Head, and See the Big Picture. Her blog is Yoga for the New World. EXTRACTS FROM THE BOOK. “optical window” 1-Biophoton emission now belongs to a topical field of modern science: It concerns a weak light emission from biological systems. Such molecular events are clearly compatible with collective phenomena as shown by recent developments in the life sciences such as the chaos theory. 2-This book is concerned with the “optical window” of biological interactions and in view of their correlations to many biological functions they provide a powerful, non-invasive tool of analyzing biological systems. Topics include food science, pollution, efficacy of drugs including the treatment of cancer and immune diseases, and communication phenomena such as consciousness. 3-It is possible according to numerous biophysicist’s assumptions, that you could cure cancer with light, so why not communicate entire spiritual doctrines, as realized Buddhists monks and Tibetan lamas and yogis have been known to do for eons(very long period of time). 4-There are wavelengths of light that are not viewable by most human eyes; however. This range (for most people) is currently at about 380 to 750 nanometers. Although every color of the rainbow has a gradation, and thus varying nanometer rating, they usually fall in the below categories: Angstroms 10 to the -10th M (Wavelength Measurement of Color) Violet> 3800-4500 Indigo> 4200-4500 Blue > 4500-4590 Green> 4950-5700 Yellow> 5700-5900 Orange> 5900-6200 Red > 6200-7500 5-This chart becomes apropos (with reference to)when discussing alternative healing modalities as well as expanded states of consciousness. Beyond the viewable spectrum is a whole range of additional colors. Perhaps these colors are what are referenced in the ancient teachings of the Rainbow Body, from traditions as diverse as Vajrayana to Dzogchen. 6-The rainbow body is also called the ‘body of enjoyment’ or Sambhogakaya in Sanskrit. It is not the dense body – made of only the seven colors on the viewable spectrum, but a veritable cornucopia(an abundant supply )of the electromagnetic light spectrum, which can be best described as a subtle body of limitless form. While the rainbow body is demonstrated abundantly in Mahayana art, scientists have begun to measure its existence, indirectly, through sensitive equipment. 7- In 1923, Alexander Gurwitsch first detected non-thermal, electromagnetic energy (biophotons) and named it ‘mitogenetic radiation.’ Other laboratories throughout the US and Europe deduced similarly, that the human body gave off varying spectrums of light. 8-In fact, every single living cell communicates through the language of light. The transmittal of energy across the electromagnetic spectrum is what allows an intricate web of communication between every single living system. 9-This web of energy – or rainbow existence is what directs life. The frequency at which each living system must communicate with other systems must be faster than the speed of light in order to keep us all ‘connected'. 10--Since Sambhogakaya refers to the luminous form of clear light that one attains when they have cleansed their denser physical vessel, it would make sense that it could hold within it, the full spectrum – that is seen and unseen gradations of light, and thus the information of the entire Universe. Some might call that Infinite Wisdom. 11-The embodied state of en-light-enment is called the Tao or the Buddha, or Nirvikalpa, the Sanskrit word that describes a form of samadhi that can be depicted as absorption without self-consciousness. It is the merging of chitta vritti or mental activity with the grander Self, so that the knower and the act of knowing are fused. 12-Often the metaphor of waves vanishing like foam back into the ocean is used to describe the complete freedom from lower states of awareness, or we could say, a less all-encompassing gradation of light frequencies. Nirvikalpa is called the rainbow body for this reason. “If you wish to see my display look at a grove of various trees and plants.” — Tantra of The Great Self-liberated Vidyā 13-Our cells absorb light in order to transmit it. We are a walking rainbow. While we can argue over semantics (the actual name from the Dzogchen tantras is “body of light” — the term rainbow body is a Tibetan popular term that is sometimes thought of as imprecise), that is unproductive. 14-It is only our level of consciousness – our awareness of the full spectrum that either shines forth from our full realized Self or dampens down the dye to a muddy water-color wash. 15-While modern science plays catch up to the true properties of light and vibration, the rest of us can blush in a silent knowing of how vibrant we truly are. WHAT IS THE MEANING OF SAMBHOGAKAYA? 13 FACTS;- 1-The Sambhogakaya is a "subtle body of limitless form". Both "celestial" Buddhas such as Bhaisajyaguru and Amitābha, as well as advanced bodhisattvas such as Avalokiteśvara and Manjusri can appear in an "enjoyment-body." A Buddha can appear in an "enjoyment-body" to teach bodhisattvas through visionary experiences. 2-Those Buddhas and Bodhisattvas manifest themselves in their specific pure lands. These worlds are created for the benefits of others. In those lands it is easy to hear and practice the Dharma. A person can be reborn in such a pure land by "the transfer of some of the huge stock of 'merit' of a Land's presiding Buddha, stimulated by devout prayer. 3-One of the places where the Sambhogakaya body appears is the extra-cosmic realm or pure land called Akaniṣṭha. This is one of the highest realms of the Śuddhavasa devas. 4-Absolutely seen, only the Dharmakaya is real; the Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya are "provisional ways of talking about and apprehending it". 5-It is access by advanced practitioners .Sambhogakaya also refers to the luminous form of clear light the Buddhist practitioner attains upon the reaching the highest dimensions of practice. 6-According to tradition, those skilled in meditation, such as advanced Tibetan lamas and yogis, as well as other highly realized Buddhists, may gain access to the Sambhogakaya and receive direct transmission of doctrine. 7-Understanding Buddhist tradition ;There are numerous Sambhogakaya realms almost as numerous as deities in Tibetan Buddhism. These Sambhogakaya-realms are known as Buddha-fields or Pure Lands. 8-One manifestation of the Sambhogakaya in Tibetan Buddhism is the rainbow body. This is where an advanced practitioner is walled up in a cave or sewn inside a small yurt-like tent shortly before death. 9-For a period of a week or so after death, the practitioners' body transforms into a Sambhogakaya light body, leaving behind only hair and nails. In the Chán tradition, the Sambhogakaya along with the Dharmakaya and the Nirmanakaya, are given metaphorical interpretations. 10-It is a state in which the practitioner continually and naturally produces good thoughts:they don't think of the past but of the future & Constantly maintain the future thoughts to be good. This is what we call the Sambhogakaya. 11-Just one single evil thought could destroy the good karma that has continued for one thousand years; and just one single good thought in turn could destroy the evil karma that has lived for one thousand years. 12-If the future thoughts are always good, you may call this the Sambhogakaya. The discriminative thinking arising from the Dharmakaya("Truth body") is called the Nirmanakaya ("transformation body")..... The successive thoughts that forever involve good are thus the Sambhogakaya. 13-Sambhogakaya has also been translated as the "deity dimension", "body of bliss" or "astral body" ....... SHIVOHAM..........
