IS THE BIRTH STORY OF KARTIKEYA IS SYMBOLIC DESCRIPTION OF HUMAN BIRTH ?

THE BIRTH STORY OF KARTIKEYA; ---

10 POINTS;-

1-The miraculous thing about Shiva’s son Kartikeya is that he was a great experiment where six beings were combined into one body.

2-As per a prior prophesy, the child Kartikeya was anointed (to make

someone)as the command-in-chief of the Devas. It had been foretold that only he could kill a a demon named Tarakasur who had been plaguing the Devas.

3-Though Shiva is described as the symbol of virility (gallantry, chivalry), he never had children. THROUGH DIVINE LOVE,AN ENERGY CAME INTO EXISTENCE.

4-Acting on the advice of Brahma and Vishnu, Agni went there & carries the six sparks that fell from the third eye of Shiva. But Parvati felt insulted. She cursed Agni saying, "From this day thou shall be omnivorous and eat unclean things. The radiance that you have devoured, shall cause an unbearable inflammation on your body."

5-Instantly, Agni got unbearable inflammation on his body.Agni retired to a desolate place, & asked for help to mother earth but she refused.

6-Waiting for a suitable one ,he arrived to ma GANGA.Unable to bear the heat, Agni gives the radiance to Ganga who deposits it in a lake in a forest Sara Vana where Kartikeya is born with six faces - Eesanam, Sathpurusham, Vamadevam, Agoram, Sathyojatham and Adhomugam, and hence the name Shadanan.

7-The sparks are deposited in a pond in the Sara Vana, where a six babies are born on a lotus each. The Krittikas who came there, nursed the babies. As Kartikeya was cared for by six women symbolising Pleiades (Kritika in Sanskrit) and thus got the name Kartikeya.

8-Parvati herself could not have Shiva’s child, so she did not want this to go to waste. She took these six under-developed children and wrapped them in lotus leaves, creating some kind of incubation.

9-She could see that these six fetuses had six sterling qualities. She thought, “If all these qualities could be in one man, how wonderful he would be!” Through her tantric powers, she merged these six little fetuses into one, embedding six beings in one single body, and Kartikeya was born.

10-Even today, Kartikeya is referred to as “Arumuga” or six-faced. He was a phenomenally capable human being. At the age of 8, he was an unbeatable warrior. Lord Karthikeya is also called ‘Deva Senapati’ – the guardian and rescuer of Divine qualities.

1-The Six Kritikas are the stars of the constellation pleiades (a clearly visible cluster of stars in the constellation Taurus that includes six stars in the form of a very small dipper).. When Parvati and Shiva call back Kartikeya, he is not ready to accept them & want to go back in previous life.

He even refuses the training of his parents to fight TADKASUR...

2-When the five elements governed by Lord Shiva (Panch Mahabhoota - Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether) united with Shakti (Pure Consciousness), Lord Kartikeya was born.

3-Shiva is called Panchaanana – Lord with five heads. These five heads represent the five elements in Nature. When these five elements united with the sixth: Chaitanya Shakti (pure consciousness), they gave birth to the Shadaanana (six headed).

4-The radiance of Shiv-Shakti contains Ether, Air & Ojas.This radiance comes in touch of three elements--Fire,Earth, Water(ma Ganga) & take form.

5-Same is with human fetus,,,that radiance is causal body.SHIVA -SHAKTI, BOTH ARE PRESENT inside all the human beings in the form of ''SOHAM''

(AS INHALE & EXHALE ) I.E. CONTROLS OUR STRING OF BREATH..

6-That form is brought up by constellations.There are 12 constellations of Astrology.It is the study of the movements of the planets, sun, moon, and stars in the belief that they can influence people's lives.

7-After twelve years, when real training begins to fight with six enemies(lust,Anger,Greed,Arrogance,Attatchment,Jealousy) WE QUIT LIKE HIM.We are attatched with those who are according to constellations,but not acquainted with REAL ONES.

8-KARTIKEYA is attatched with The Krittikas & not with the MOTHER OF UNIVERSE.Same is with human beings also.We respect her as a DEVI ,but not as real ma.

1-We can understand this stoty in terms of the Kundalini Shakti also. We have seven chakras (energy centers) within us.

2-When the energy surges through the six chakras and stabilizes at the sixth chakra - the Ajna chakra (present in the middle of the eyebrows), it blossoms as Lord Kartikeya.

3-The Ajna chakra is the place of the Guru Principle. It is where the Guru Principle blossoms and manifests itself. And that Guru Principle itself is Karthikeya.

4-Lord Shiva is the un-manifest Divinity, while Lord Karthikeya is the manifest. So we can think of Lord Karthikeya as symbolic of the Kundalini Shakti.

WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF GURU PRINCIPLE ?--

1-There is a story about Lord Karthikeya from the Puranas. When Karthikeya was a young child, His father, Lord Shiva asked him to go and receive education from Lord Brahma. So Karthikeya went to Lord Brahma and asked him, "Please tell me the meaning of Om".Lord Brahma said, "First learn the alphabets! You are directly asking for the meaning of Om".Karthikeya said, "No, I want to know the highest knowledge first – Om". Now Lord Brahma knew all about the alphabets, but he did not know the meaning of Om (the primordial sound). So Karthikeya said to Lord Brahma, "You do not know the meaning of Om, how will you teach me? I will not study under you". And he went back to his father.Lord Shiva asked Karthikeya, "What happened son? Lord Brahma is the Creator of the entire universe. You must learn from him".Karthikeya replied, "Then you tell me, what is the meaning of Om?’Lord Shiva smiled and said, "Even I don’t know".Karthikeya then said, "Then I will tell you because I know the meaning of Om"."Then tell me the meaning since you know it", said Lord Shiva.

2-"I can’t tell you like this. You have to give me the place of the Guru. Only if you put me on the pedestal of the Guru I can tell you", said Karthikeya.Guru means he has to be on a higher position or platform.So then Lord Shiva lifted the young Karthikeya on to His shoulders. And then in the ear of Lord Shiva, Karthikeya explained the meaning of the Pranava Mantra (Om). Karthikeya explained that the entire Creation is contained in Om.The Trinity – Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are contained in Om. Om means that everything is love. Unbroken and unshakeable love is Om. This is the essence and also the secret of Om that Lord Karthikeya narrated to Lord Shiva.On hearing this, Goddess Parvati (Mother/ incarnation of the Mother Divine) was overcome with joy. She said, "You have become a Guru (Swami) to my Lord (Natha)!"Saying this she addressed her son as Swaminatha,So even Lord Shiva had to become a disciple of the Guru Principle. So the Guru Principle and Karthikeya are considered to be one and the same.

2-Mata Tripursundari is with both her sons.Sri Ganesh removes obstacle & allows to begin the spiritual journey but Karthikeya allows to enter Dasamdwar & enlighten seventh chakra i.e.the SELF REALIZATION ...
