MARMA PRESSURE POINTS FOR INSOMNIA, KIDNEY...PART 02

If you’re looking for a natural remedy to improve your sleep, try doing acupressure 15 minutes before going to bed.Read on to learn five pressure points you can try... 1-कूर्च शिर/SPIRIT GATE;- The spirit gate point is located at the crease on your outer wrist, below your pinkie/Little finger. To treat insomnia: Feel for the small, hollow space in this area and apply gentle pressure in a circular or up-and-down movement.Continue for two to three minutes.Hold the left side of the point with gentle pressure for a few seconds, and then hold the right side.Repeat on the same area of your other wrist.Stimulating this pressure point is associated with quieting your mind, which can help you fall asleep.


2-THE THREE YIN INTERSECTION;-

The three yin intersection point is located on your inner leg, just above your ankle. To treat insomnia.. Locate the highest point on your ankle.Count four finger widths up your leg, above your ankle.Apply deep pressure slightly behind your biggest lower-leg bone (tibia), massaging with circular or up-and-down motions for four to five seconds.In addition to helping with insomnia, simulating this pressure point can also help with pelvic disorders and menstrual cramps.Don’t use this pressure point if you’re pregnant, as it’s also associated with inducing labor.



3-THE BUBBLING SPRING POINT;-

The bubbling spring point is located on the sole of your foot. It’s the small depression that appears just above the middle of your foot when your curl your toes inward.To treat insomnia..Lie on your back with your knees bent so you can reach your feet with your hands.Take one foot in your hand and curl your toes. Feel for the depression on the sole of your foot.Apply firm pressure and massage this point for a few minutes using circular or up-and-down motion.Stimulating this pressure point is believed to ground your energy and induce sleep.

4-THE INNER FRONTIER GATE;-

The inner frontier gate point is found on your inner fore-arm between two tendons.To ease insomnia..Turn your hands over so that your palms are facing up.Take one hand and count three finger widths down from your wrist crease.Apply a steady downward pressure between the two tendons in this location.Use a circular or up-and-down motion to massage the area for four to five seconds.In addition to helping you sleep, the inner frontier gate point is associated with soothing nausea, stomach pain, and headaches.

5- THE WIND POOL;-

The wind pool point is located on the back of your neck. You can find it by feeling for the mastoid bone behind your ears and following the groove around to where your neck muscles attach to the skull. To treat insomnia..Clasp your hands together and gently open your palms with your fingers interlocked to create a cup shape with your hands.Use your thumbs to apply a deep and firm pressure toward your skull, using circular or up-and-down movements to massage this area for four to five seconds.Breathe deeply as you massage the area.Use your thumbs to apply a deep and firm pressure toward your skull, using circular or up-and-down movements to massage this area for four to five seconds.Breathe deeply as you massage the area.Stimulating this pressure point may help to reduce respiratory symptoms, such as coughing, which often interrupt sleep. It’s also associated with reducing stress and calming the mind.

शंख .- In SHANKH traditional points for treating insomnia. Some practitioners also use these points to reduce anxiety, vertigo, and headaches.

The An Mian points are on either side of the neck. To find them, place a finger behind each earlobe, and move the fingers just behind the bony protrusion. Light pressure is sufficient.



6-OTHER MARMA PRESSURE POINTS;-

Marma chikitsa to treat sleeplessness.The marma chikitsa i.e stimulating marma points pop outs your hidden power to give promising results to cure insomnia....

1-Tal Hridaya marma (तल हृदय) : the marma present at the center of the palm ... start touching the palm aspect of your hand by folding all the fingers, except middle one unfold all other. Stimulate this marma 20 times by applying pressure on it, this will surely help you to get rid of insomnia.

2-Sthapani marma (स्थापनी मर्म) ..the space between the eyebrows where third eye exists ...join your palms and fix fingers of right hand in the web of left hand by keeping both the thumbs straight to make a fist and apply pressure on sthapni marma with the base of of thumbs) which relaxes you.

3-Apanga marma (अपांग मर्म) : Place your index fingers on the root of eyebrows and start massaging the specific point apanga marma... Press it 15-18 times to obtain its positive effects.

4-Seemant marma (सीमन्त मर्म) : Seemant marma is present on the skull and is mainly correlated with different sutures such as coronal suture, sagittal suture and lambdoid suture.Place horizontally four fingers of your hand above the bridge of the nose so that it should meet the base of the hairline.. apply moderate pressure on on it. Place hypothenar area of right hand at the root of nose and stretch your fingers upwards in the partition of hairline .Situate the base of your both hands at the nape of your neck and the place where your fingers reached is lambdoid suture. Now press this point gently to abolish your headache.

MARMA POINTS THERAPHY --FOR KIDNEY;-


1-Ānī marma— located in the inner crease of the elbow, will regulate the fluid systems in the body, maintain bladder tone, and treat urinary dysfunction.

2-Gulpha marma—near the ankle on either side of the foot- reduces swelling, it regulates kidney function, normalizes water filtration, balances renal colic, and assists with urinary disorders. Pregnant women should not press on the gulpha marma.

3-Karnamūla— located just behind the ears; It enhances kidney and adrenal function and relieves kidney dysfunctions, including infections.

3-Pārshva Sandhi— located at the tip of the 11th rib or the floating rib on both sides of the body;helps with renal colic, reduces kidney stones, and enhances the flow of prāna, the vital life force.

5-Vartma— consists of three points near the eyelid. The first is at the inside edge of the eye, in the space between where the eye and nose meet. The second is under the bottom eyelid, aligned with the pupil. The third point is on the outer edge of the eye, just below and to the side. All three marmani enhance the functioning of the adrenals and kidneys by reducing stress on these organs. They also help regulate anxiety, which is associated with the adrenals and kidneys. Since these points are located near the eyes, be careful not to press too hard.

NOTE;-

Use the tips of your fingers to gently but firmly stimulate each marma point listed above.Massage each point in a clockwise circular motion and anti clockwise circular motion for up to 5 minutes .Optionally, use herb-infused massage oils during your massage .Tulsi, peppermint, and lavender oil are tri-doshic (balancing to vata, pitta, and kapha).
